Brainstorming:
A1.) i.) the statement ‘beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder’ clearly explains the idea that beauty is entirely a subjective aspect of humans. When something is beauty to a person for some particular reasons the same thing cannot be beauty to another person for other reasons. To find beauty in things a person analyse various reasons after which they perceive something as beauty. The factors of analysing beauty can be different for persons depending on their ability of perceive. Beauty becomes significant through the eyes of the observer only who can decide about what is beauty for his. The sole difference in finding beauty is the pattern of perceive. That is why a person finds something beautiful becomes not beautiful enough to others. We all have the individuality to find something as beauty by deciding the factors on our own ways. So, we do not need to follow others but we can decide and think about beauty with our own thinking.
ii.) The most inspirational person I have come across in my life till date is our science teacher in school. I remember the day of our physics exam where I failed to attempt all questions for my bad time management and I felt worse for not answering the known questions. After the exam over I was too sad and started crying when the teacher noticed me from afar. She came and consoled me with such inspirational words that I will remember lifelong. She said me that the exam was not the final one and I will get more chances in future to prove myself. I should learn from my present mistakes and never repeat those in future for gaining positive outcomes. Her words enhanced my confidence instantly and I got the courage to focus on my later studies. So, this inspirational person taught me to be optimistic in life even in difficult situations. She showed the ways to move ahead with lessons of previous experiences which grew my positive attitude since back then.
ii.) The lady in the poem has a winning smile and glowing skin. According to the poet she is blessed with these things because- she is kind-hearted and compassionate person in real life who is involved in good actions only. Her life morals are ideal and affects living of others positively which gave her significant result in life.
iii.) The poet has created a beautiful balance between outer beauty and inner beauty within this poem. In the initial part the poet describes the physical attractiveness of the woman by elaborating her physical features. Then he diverts his focus to the inner beauty of the lady which is her pure thoughts. The innocent smile reflects the inner peace of her mind. Her heart is filled with positive attitude, purity and right thoughts which enhance her outer beauty as well. All the positive attributes that the lady possess glow in her outward beauty.
iv.) No, I do not agree with the statement that beauty is only within deep skin. Beauty is not only about the physical appearance or looks of a person but also that person’s nature, behaviour, manners, attitude make him a completely beautiful person according to me. Beauty which we can see in outward appearance is of no use when that person is not a good human being at all. The personality and negative attitude makes even his good appearance dull to others. A person becomes beautiful completely when he/she feels beautiful from within with good thoughts.
