Sub: Nuisance of beggars
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw attention of the concerned authorities towards the increasing nuisance of beggars in our city.
Nowadays the number of beggars are increasing day by day. They are seen at every busy places like market, parks, streets, station, outside of the temple stretching their hands or singing holy songs or displaying their bruised limbed or even they pretend to be blind and disabled to grip the attention of on-lookers. Many of them have made begging their profession even if they are physically fit to do hard work for earning and they teach their children the tricks too. Sometimes children are also seen moving from shop to shop with a begging bowl or running after the passers-by on the streets.
One more problem is that some of these beggars seems to be suffered from many infectious diseases which need to be take care and be treated. It is necessary to ensure that infected beggars are taken care of and treated in hospitals and physically fitted beggars must be made to work.
I hope that the authorities will positively look upon this issue as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully
Rajesh Sharma
