Subject:- letter regarding illegal parking on the footpath
Respected Sir / Madam
This letter is written to make into your attention about the Illegal parking on the footpath at our area. I am Mrs Sharma living in Nibus heights in front of Curryleaf restaurant at shantiniketan Nagar dombivali west. Infront of my building the main road goes where both the sides footpath is available for people walk area. This footpath is made since two to two and half years ago for public service at the same the Curryleaf restaurant was opened. The restaurant didn’t not made arrangements of customer vehicle parking that is why people park their vehicles on the road side but this created traffic jam on the road side. We requested the restaurant owner to arrange parking facility for their customers so that traffic jam created on the road will be reduced and customers would be happy with the service. Restaurant owner assured us that his customers’ vehicles won’t create any traffic jam on the road. But nothing changed, now the situation is restaurant customers are increased, and customers started parking their vehicles on the footpath which is in front of the restaurant and on the footpath which is on our side. This makes us difficult to walk over. We have put “NO PARKING” board on our side footpath still people ignore the board. This illegal parking of vehicles on both side of the footpath is not only troubling the people who walk on the footpath but also creating the traffic jam on the road. We as a resident of shantiniketan nagar are facing problems. We had discussed the same with the restaurant owner but no positive response from their side. So I am forced to write a letter to you so that officialaction is taken on this illegal parking on the footpath. Also sometimes there is friction between the residential people and drivers regarding parking on the footpath. Yesterday the quarrel between drivers and residential people took a height, some how it was resolved. We also noticed that few people who are not customers of restaurants or nearby shops are parking their vehicles for the whole day. People take advantage of the situation and park the bikes for free.
I hope you can understand our frustration regarding this illegal parking, we are facing this issue since a year but now it is too much and unbearable. Kindly send the concern team to inspect the situation and take action accordingly. Also it would be great if CCTV is installed at the footpath area to monitor whether the people are following the law or not. Send an official notice to Curryleaf restaurant owner regarding their illegal parking.
I hope immediate attention is given on this. Thanking you
Yours Sincerely
Mrs. Sharma
