Dear Kamal,
How are you? I am fine and safe here with my family and hope to hear the same from you. In your last letter you had asked me to share how events are celebrated virtually in my school. So, in this letter I thought of sharing with you how Teachers’ Day is celebrated in my school in this New Normal scenario.
As you know this year is completely different from the previous years. This year we have celebrated most of the events virtually. Teachers’ Day is one of them. Just before a day of the actual celebration our school leader had uploaded one teaser of the event on our official School web page and You Tube Channel. The teaser included some old videos and snaps of previous year’s celebration. On 5th September our celebration started sharp at 8:00 am. Videos of the programs were collected from the concerned participants beforehand and then they were edited and uploaded on the site. The celebration started with the Teachers’ Day message by the Head Prefect of my school then he also shared the upcoming events of the day. There were both solo dance and song performances by the students. Few students were selected to deliver a short speech on our beloved teachers. At the end there was a short speech by our beloved Fr. Principal who reminded students to study hard and develop good qualities. He also commended our teachers for their diligence and commitment.
The video editing was done by me. To sum up, it was indeed a new challenge to me and I had overcome it successfully. Everyone praised my work. It was indeed a great experience to me and I really enjoyed doing it. No more today. Convey my warmest regards to uncle and aunt and lots of love for you and your little brother. Do write to me. Take care. Bye!
Yours Manav
