King: dear grandfather, can you tell me where this corn was grown?
Great grandfather: corn like this used to grow everywhere in my time. I lived on corn like this in the days of my youth and fed others on it. it was such a grain that we used to sow, reap and thresh.
King: tell me, grandfather, did you buy it anywhere, or did you grow it all by yourself?
Great grandfather: in my time, no one ever thought of such a sin as buying or selling bread; and we knew nothing of money. Each man had enough corn of his own.
King: tell me grandfather, where was your field, where did you grow corn like this?
Great grandfather: my field was god’s earth. Wherever I ploughed, it was my field. Land was free. It was a thing no man called his own. Labour was the only thing men called their own.
King: answer me two more questions, why did the earth bear such grain then and had ceased to do so now? Why does your grandson walk with two crutches, your son with one, and you yourself with none? Your eyes are with clear sight, you can hear properly. But why your son and grandson are unable to do so?
Great grandfather: things have changed with time. In older times, people used to depend on their own labour and were satisfied with what they had their own. But people ceased to live with their labour now. They tend to depend on others too.
King: so, what will be your suggestion to change the situation of us?
Great grandfather: I would suggest to have faith on oneself for hard work and dedication. People should focus on their growth and not on others’ living.

I am going to explain the differences in the lifestyle of people in both old times and present time. I hope people will understand why people used to live a happier and healthier life earlier through it. People used to live on their own labour at that time. But now they depend on others even for some small work. They were never bothered and had no issue with what others had produced in fields. But they become jealous and greedy from others’ crops production. Peasants used to apply only natural methods of farming in lands earlier. Now, they are using artificial methods too for fast growing and maximum cultivation. People were not selfish and they were generous to others in earlier time. They sued to stay beside others in need. But now they have become selfish and self-centred. They do not even think about others.

Dear farmers,
We are delighted to inform you all that we are going to celebrate farmer’s day of chingam-1 in our school. This event is going to be an added programme in the list of all events throughout the year. Our teachers and principal discussed about it before. They want to spread knowledge and awareness among farmers. Farmers should share their views and needs that they need to grow their production. If they get chance to overcome their issues then it will be beneficial for us as well. Farmers will be provided new farming tools and usage kit in the event. They will be guided with experienced researchers of agriculture. So, all farmers in our locality are invited to attend the event and share their experience.
Thank you.
