Ans: The American searched for the cobra at the rafters, three corners of the room and under the table.
10.) What did the American do to test the self-control of the people at the dinner party?
Ans: The American realized there must be a cobra in the room. His first impulse was to jump back and warn the others. He knew the commotion would frighten the cobra into striking. He wanted to know just what control everyone at that table has. He did a test for cobra. He would count three hundred in five minutes and not one of you was to move a muscle. Those who move would forfeit fifty rupees.
