ICSE Class 10th Practicals and it’s Syllabus

ICSE Examination Pattern for Class 10th

There will be 4 broad questions. A composition of 450 to 500 words, second is a letter, third is an unseen passage and related questions and fourth would be a question to test students’ grammar. In essay and letter section, students are given a choice. They should choose only those topics which they know thoroughly. |

ICSE Examination Grading Pattern
Grading is the distribution of marks between external and internal assessment of the student and therefore , student must be aware of it to bring out the best of their knowledge. The grading pattern for compulsory subjects is generally 80% external and 20% internal but as the variation starts, grading pattern also changes and thus we have summed up the pattern for ease of subject preparation!

Re examination: It’s Criteria and Rules
Also called as compartmental exams, this exam is given by students who couldn’t score passing marks in one of the compulsory subjects to gain the certificate.
Conditions:
1) The student must have scored passing marks in English.
2) The student must have passed the other three subjects in ICSE examination to appear for the failed one.
All the application process is online and the release of dates of compartmental exams is also online, therefore students must keep checking the websites for updated information.

Tips to Prepare for the ICSE 10th board Examination:
1) Your teachers are the best sources of knowledge, make sure to read the notes given in class.
2) Read the books you can get which are related to the examination such as Selina Concise, ML Aggarwal etc to gain relevant knowledge.
3) Go through the important questions section first, then previous year question papers and then finally try to solve the sample papers on your own. If you follow the chronology, you will be able to solve sample papers very easily.
4) Be consistent. Make sure you cover some part of the studies daily. Consistency wins over talent each time.
5) Do not study or watch irrelevant things before examination, it will cloud your mind and you will not be able to focus much.
6) Paper presentation matters, and therefore make sure you write all the answers and not just read them while doing sample papers.
