Full form of EU: The European Union (EU) is a political and economic union of 27 member states in Europe. The EU is composed of an array of diverse countries, including large and small member states, which are located across the continent. The EU’s main objectives include the free movement of people and goods, peacekeeping, and economic cooperation among countries. It also aims to maintain political stability and security across the continent, while promoting economic prosperity and protecting the environment. There is no official date for when the EU started—its exact origins date back to the early 1950s—but it was officially formed after a number of European countries signed the Treaty of Rome in 1957. Today, more than 500 million people live within the EU, making it one of the world’s largest economic blocs.
The European Union has become a key player in global trade, with more than half of international trade passing through its territory each year. It is also a leader in science and technology research, with many high-tech companies based within its borders. In addition, the EU has helped foster peace and stability throughout the world by working on issues such as climate change and human rights. As its population continues to grow, so does its global impact.
