Swacchata hi seva campaign Essay: Swachhata hi Seva campaign also called as a call for Clean India. On the birth anniversary of mahatma Gandhi on 1st October 2023, started this campaign which is named as swachhata hi Seva. This campaign arranged in all over the India by various organisations, colleges, schools and various industries. All the teachers, employees, students and all the government servants have been participated in this campaign enthusiastically. The campaign started in the memory of mahatma Gandhi, therefore celebrated on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. According to the theme of swachh Bharat campaign our government also gave logo for the same, in which there is inclusion of spectacles of Mahatma Gandhi along with our tricolour flag. The meaning of this logo is showing the unity of India which was the dream of mahatma Gandhi. The main aim of this campaign is to make the India clean and to make all the areas garbage free, for which one slogan was prepared and that was “ek Tarikh ek ghanta Ek sath”. Under this campaign, government arranged some awareness programs such as wet waste and dry waste, disposal of liquid and solid waste, identification of hazardous waste. Generally people doesn’t know about the disposal criteria of waste. Therefore under the campaign government made a try to aware the people about the garbage disposal and if garbage is not disposed properly for which government applied various ideas such as posters in order to teach the garbage disposal to local people in very easy way.
The department started this campaign is the department of sanitation and drinking water. The goal it’s to make India clean.
During this campaign various organisations gave a demo of cleanliness or how to maintain the clean habits. Many of the times diseases spread through our habits such as not washing the hands with soap or sanitizer, not disposing the waste properly, not flushing the toilets. For such habits people required to change their behaviour. Therefore behavioural changes is also one of the aspect of this campaign. To make India aware about various sanitation practices to get a good health and eradicate some diseases.
On 1st October 2023 it was mandatory to take oath for the clean India. Government is nowadays more aware about the cleanliness to achieve the dream ‘clean India’. Various organisation had taken an initiative to make these mission on Front foot so that each and every person of India will able to know the importance of cleanliness. Various slogans have also prepared to aware the people such as one home, one family, one Earth so that people will not throw any garbage anywhere and help the government to make it a clean country.
Therefore, swachhata hi Seva campaign should be the major and most important campaign of India from all aspects and it is our duty to spread or aware more people about this campaign and teach them benefits of cleanliness, so that one day we will have one home, one family, one Earth.
