Difference between Mirror formula and Lens formula
Mirror formula and lens formula are the formulas which gives the relation between image distance, object distance and focal length of the mirror and lenses. There is lots of use of these formulas in the ray optics. The formula which gives the relation between image distance, object distance and focal length of the spherical mirror is know as mirror formula. The formula which gives the relation between image distance, object distance and focal length of the lenses is know as lens formula. The only difference between these two formulas is one having addition of mirror distance and object distance and another having subtraction of mirror distance and object distance. The difference between the mirror formula and lens formula is as follows.
