(1.) One honey bee hive consists of different types of bees. What are they? How they differ from each other?
Ans. One honey bee hive consists of different types of bees. A honey bee colony consists of three types of bees. One queen, several thousands of workers and Drones.
There is only one queen bee in a colony. The primary function of a queen is to lay eggs (800 – 1200 eggs per day)
There are sterile females which are called Workers in the hive. These bees attend to indoor duties during first three. weeks of their lives. After three weeks they attend outdoor duties like collecting nectar, pollen and water.
Drone are the male members of the colony. They are very lazy and unable to gather food. Their main duty is participating in mating. Mating takes place in the open when the queen is in flight.
(2.) Make a list of characters of local variety of buffaloes which give good quantity of milk in your village?
Ans. Common buffaloes gives 2 – 5 liters of milk per day.
Murra, species are reared in our Telangana state, they give up to 8 litres of milk per day. Haryana, Jaferabad, Nagpuri are the traditional varieties which give good quantity of milk. Jersy (England), and Holstein (Denmark) are the foreign varieties. They give 25 litres of milk per day. These foreign varieties are cross bred with local varieties or our native. They give 8 – 20 litres milk per day. Some of local variety of buffaloes like red dean bull, Deoni bull etc..also give good quantity of milk.
(3.) Explain the process of hatching eggs under broody hen in rural areas?
Ans. Hatching of eggs is interesting job. Our rural pactioners hatch eggs by placing them under broody hen.
Hatchability of eggs is generally influenced by 37 to 38 degree Celsius temperature. During January to April the eggs cost is high due to know the reason is most eggs are used for hatching. In this period rate of hatching is more.
The broody hen will lay eggs and will sit on them day and night to warm them up. The heat of hen body will help the eggs to hatch and when the chicks are prepared she get up from the eggs and help them get out of it.
(4.) Write about the accessory products produced in animal husbandry.
Ans. A large number of people in India is still dependent on animal husbandry for their livelihood. The accessory products produced in animal husbandry are milk, meat, eggs, wool, animal hides etc…
Large number of farmers also depends on animal husbandry for their livelihood.
(5.) What is estuaries, how they are suitable for both marine and river fish to live.
Ans. Estuaries are a part or place where Sea water and fresh water mix together.
Fishes in estuaries ecosystem can survive in river as well as sea. Estuaries are a part of the river systems. Where fishes are subjected both to marine influences such as tides, waves etc. They provide feeding habitats for many aquatic plants and animals. Thus they are suitable for both marine and river fish to live.
(6.) If you have a chance to visit milk chilling center, what doubts would you like to clarify? Please list out them.

i) How they collect the milk?
ii) What is pasteurization?
iii) Explain HTST? full form of HTST.
iv) Why the milk is heated?
v) Why the milk packets are keep in refrigerator.
vi) May they mix all types of milk with each other?
(10.) Observe nearby poultry farm and find out how do they export eggs to market? What material is used for transportation?
Ans. The most important component in the marketing of eggs is to handle them carefully when it would collected, transported and at the sale in the counters.
To save the brokage of eggs, they are packed in egg trays after inserting eggs in each tray. These trays protects the eggs from vertical or horizontal friction and also during transportation.

Ans. Honey bee hive are multiple ways to go and from them. But all honey bee hive structures are not same. Some built it in honey comb forms on horizontal structures on trees. They built it by chewing the wax. They keep chewing it until it become soft.
which used for transportation, it also specially designed cages. That carried the birds very beautifuly and freely.
(12) Agriculture and animal husbandry are both sides of the same coin. How can you justify this?
Ans. Agriculture and animals husbandry are profitable to each other. They both are used in the same field. For animals these crops are the source of food and nutrition to those animals which is on husbandry. Other side wastes of animals and animals used in fertilizing the crops field and ploughing. So they are both beneficial for each other. This makes them both sides of the same coin.
(13.) How do you appreciate the uses of cattle?
Ans. In our country people believe that the cattle rearing is not the only economic source. Cattle are part and parcel of our culture. They treat them as their family members. During same festivals they decorate their cattle on.
Cattle means the domestic or darm based animals mostly the cows, buffaloes etc..
Cattle are very useful as they eat grass and so keep the fields controlled. They give milk which is essential for all people. They also do work in the agriculture fields for ploughing the fields. Cattle wastes are used in preparing organic manure. So cattle uses are appreciable.
(14.) What makes you amazing in division of work in Honey bee colony. Support your answer.
ans. Honey bee is a type of very amazing insect. It collects honey from flowers. Their hard work makes me amazing but only worker bee collects the honey for the queen bee, The queen bees only lay eggs and the drones meet with unfertilized female drones.
I’m amazed to that they shared their work and they are very honest. No bees cheat each other.

ans. Providing food, shelter, protection and breeding of animals is called ‘Animal husbandry’. Man used animals not only for obtaining food but also for agriculture. So they are related to each other. Animal husbandry which includes rearing and caring of animals. Obtaining of products for human need, and animal husbandry comes under agriculture.
