Summer Vacation Work Sheet Science Class 7 :
(1) Draw the following diagrams:
(a) Human digestive system
(b) Amoeba

(2) Glass-roofed structures in which plants are grown are called greenhouses. Usually the walls are also made of glass. A greenhouse creates an artificial environment (a steady state climate) by careful control of temperature, light, humidity, air quality, soil moisture, and heat levels. Visit to any greenhouse along with your parents and observe which plants are grown inside it. What are advantages of growing plants in the greenhouse to the farmers. Note Down your observations in science notebook and paste photographs also.
(3) Make a 3 – D model of Human digestive system ( Alimentary canal) with the help of waste materials( old news paper, straw etc) or clay using your creativity. Label each part. ( Art integration project)
(4) Write down the reaction of photosynthesis.
(5) Unscramble the following to form terms related to mode of nutrition and write a short note on it.

(6) Spot as many organisms as possible in the puzzle given by encircling them. Write the names on a sheet of paper and categorize them into autotrophs and heterotrophs. Classify the heterotrophs into herbivores, carnivores, omnivores & saprotrophs.

(7) Prepare a presentation or video using any app like Ms PowerPoint or Kine master video editor or any other app of your choice containing images of Saprotrophs Autotrophs Parasites (plants or animals) Heterotrophs Try to find these in your surroundings, capture their real images to make video or ppt and observe the mode of nutrition in such organisms.
(8) Boojho took some grains of boiled rice in test tube ‘A’ and Paheli took boiled and chewed rice in test tube ‘S’. Both of them poured 1-2 drops of iodine solution into the test tube and observed the color change. What color change would they have observed? Give reasons for your Answer.

As we discussed the topic Nutrition in Animals in the class and we hope that you have realised how important it is for us to have balanced diet in order to keep our body working and healthy, based on the topic following activities are designed.
(18) ACTIVITY 1 : Discuss with your parents and grandparents, the way to lead a healthy life. Based on the discussion design a diet plan for the children of your age group with tips and suggestions to lead a healthy life.
ACTIVITY 2 : Fast food is not good for health. Compose a story (150-200 words with pictures and drawings) with this message wherein a girl or boy explains to her/his younger brother, the bad effects of eating fast food.
