Speech on Republic day
INTRODUCTION
Good morning everyone present here on this auspicious occasion of 72 republic day of our country. are respected principal mam teachers and all my dear friends I would like to wish you a “Happy republic day”. as we are celebrating our 72 republic day today I would like to give a small speech about this special occasion.
BODY
Republic day is celebrated every year on 26th January to remember the historic moment when our constitution came into effect. As we all know India got its independence on 15th August 1947 and country it didn’t have its own constitution. On November 26th 1949 the constituent assembly of India adopted the constitution of India under the guidance of Dr BR Ambedkar and came into effect on 26 January 1950, it is also known as ‘Ganatantra Divas’ .Ever since independence ,the main celebration of republic day is held at the national capital, New Delhi atRajpath in the presence of president, prime minister and other high rank officials of India. As a part of celebration flag hoisting ceremony takes place at the Rajpath and every year since 1950, guest of honor could be head of the state government of other countries.
Republic day March showcases Indian cultural, social Heritage and defense capability. Our soldiers, the real heroes of our country are been given prestigious awards. The Martyrs and the heroes who have dedicated their lives to protect the country at any cost are being remembered and awarded.
Republic day is celebrated in all the schools, colleges, offices with great enthusiasm and energy. Colleges and schools celebrate this auspicious day by conducting various competition like dancing, singing, debate giving, speeches etc. officer’s conduct flag hosting ceremony and remember the sacrifices given by our soldiers and many freedom fighters.
Indian constitution consists of 395 articles and 8 schedules , all for the citizens of India and to celebrate the largest democracy of the world. It’s the Indian constitution which is holding up to such a complex secular and democratic country at peace. Constitution helps to understand our rights and responsibilities towards this nation. Every I individual in equal in the eyes of constitution and thus we all have the equal right on mother land.
CONCLUSION
At the end I want to end this speech by saying India is a democratic country. All the citizens living in a democratic country has the right to elect their own leaders. the constitution of India is made for people considering all the basic rights which they can enjoy all the citizens are treated equally, 2 there are many scope for improvement in every field but our government is evolving for the betterment of the country.
