It was a perfect Christmas weather when British soldiers saw German soldiers placed Christmas trees in front of their trenches lit by candle or lantern. The German soldiers started singing and British soldiers appreciated them. Then both the soldiers started singing merrily. Then soldiers from both the countries were in no man’s land. Despite some of them not knowing each others’ languages, they still conversed each other and exchanged gifts like coffee, tea, corned meat, sausage, helmet, jack knife, etc. These were the same people who were enemies last night, but one happy festival made them come together and forget their differences. At the end what one needs in life is peace and only buy having good wishes oin our heart it can be made possible.
