(1) Write in your own words the various commotions caused by zigzag at Dr. Krishnan’s residence.
Answer: Somu’s cook Visu took Zigzag at Dr.Krishnan’s residence. It was about a foot and a half tall strange bird. He could speak twenty-one languages. To start a conversation, Arvind brought juicy fruit slices and some nuts. It pickedup a walnut and ate fruit and bit by bit deposited on the chandelier and on the blades of the ceiling fan. It then perched comfortably on a curtain rod and dropped one wizened eyelid in another solemn wink as it sank his beak into a plump guava. After this it slept and began to snore so loudly that it irritated the KrishnAnswer: As if this was not enough, it spoiled Mrs. Krishnana’s painting by splattering pulp of over-ripe papaya on it. The snoring of Zigzag became pain in the neck of Krsihanan and their neighbors.
(2) What was the turn of events when Zigzag was taken to the clinic.
Answer: Mrs. Krishnan invited her friends to her home and wanted Zigzag to be taken somewhere else. Mr. Krishnan took Zigzag to his clinic and asked it not to sleep or snore. But as it was not accustomed of being kept waiting and it made his way to the clinic where it perched himself on the nurse’s reception table. It was then Dr.Krishnan heard his clear and loud voice. It had a commanding voice that everyone kept quiet. Itthen started to do its job for which it had been trained for. It turned Dr.Krishnana’s otherwise filled with tantrum clinic to the calm one. It became enthusiastic and energetic, this made Dr.Krishnan happy andfeel that it was their absolute treasure.
(3) Narrate the story Zigzag in your own words.
Answer: Zigzag was Somu’s pet which was strange and weird in looks. But it could speak and sing in twenty-one languages. When it was taken to Dr.Krishnan’s home it didn’t talk at all and top of it made mess and slept. It snored so loudly that it not only irritated Krishnan’s but also their neighbors. One day Dr.Krishnan took him to his clinic and asked him not to sleep or snore. As it was not used of kept waiting, it went in the clinic and talked in commanding voice. This made everyone to be quiet . It was trained to assist at doctor’s work and it did it very well that Dr.Krishnan became happy.
