Ans: – Crusoe did not sleep well that night. Because the more he thought about footprints that he had seen, the more afraid he becomes.
(d) Why did Robinson Crusoe pray for protection?
Ans: – He thought the footprint could be of one of the savages of the mainland. He felt himself to be lucky that he was not a share at that time. He thought if the savage had seen his boat he would have realised that someone lived on this island and would soon return with others to kill and eat Crusoe. That is why Crusoe prayed for protection.
(e) What did Crusoe decide when he went about two or three days and saw nothing on the shore?
Ans: – When Crusoe went about two or three days and saw nothing on the share he decided to go down to the shore again and examine the footprint once more .He decided to measure it with his own footprint.
(f) What did Robinson crusoe realise when he came closer to the footprint? What did he do them?
Ans: – As he came closer to the footprint he realised that it could be not his footprint because he had not came to this part of the beach since a long time. Then he placed his foot alongside that footprint and the footprint seemed larger than his own footprint.
