13th March 2017
A campaign on education of girl child was organized in our school on 8th of March which is marked as women’s day. As we celebrate women on women’s day our school took the initiative to spread awareness about girl child education, how it benefits the society and why it is crucial for the development of our society. It is said that a man educates himself but an educated women educates the whole family. Nearly half of the population on earth is women and their education matters equal to a man’s education. The program started at 9 am in the assembly where principal sir gave a speech on how we should empower girls to get education and why girls drop out from schools. Our school promised to give free education to at least 50 girls each year to help the society become more educated. We also pledged to support girls if they require any help while continuing to study. Girl education is as important as food to every human and thus we should not keep them unaware of it. Girls have time to time proved that they’re no less than boys but better and efficient at work places. To encourage this we all should come together and do as much as we can. I hope every school organizes such campaign and help girls. I thank our school and principal sir for organizing such great campaign and awaking us on this crucial topic of girl child education.
Thank you
