(i) Answer the following question in brief:

 

1.) Who was Sher Singh Bahadur?

Answer: Sher Singh Bahadur was a famous hunter. He lived in ladwani village, grazing his animals and cultivating his bit of land. At timed he acted as a guide for hunting expedition. The title Bahadur was given to his name for his bravery

 

2.) Where did he get the big scar form?

Answer: He got the big scar from the attack by a tiger who had torn his flesh with its claws. It happened when he was trying to save his comrade from the tiger.

 

3.) Why were there no men in the village?

Answer: There were no men in the village because all the men had gone as beaters with the hunting expedition.

 

4.) What had happened to all the children?

Answer: All the children had died of Cholera and influenza

Answer: After crossing the rivers, they completed their journey first by a bullock cart and then buy a truck. It is how they reached the hospital.

Answer: The doctor said that Sher Singh was shaping Bahadur the Brave. He also said that he’s brother would live and asked him to go in to see his brother.

1.) Explain the circumstance in which Kunwar was carried to the hospital.

Answer: Kunwar was carried to the hospital in difficult and unfavourable circumstance. His 12 years old brother carried him on his back in a ceiling made from his mother’s sari. He had to cover 80 km of muddy track through a dense jungle crisscrossed with streams and infested with tigers, bears and tuskers.

 

2.) Write a few lines about the character sketch of Sher Singh.

Answer: Sher Singh was a sensitive and responsible child of his he did not mind accepting challenges and taking initiatives. Sher Singh was very brave too. He also knew how to deal with and adjust to changing situation.

 

3.) Describe Sher Singh’s father in about 50 words.

Answer: Sher Singh father lived in ladwani village. He lives his life grazing his animals and cultivating his bit of land. He was a famous hunter and was known as Sher Singh Bahadur. He also worked as a guide for hunting expedition in the jungle. Once, while saving his comrade from a tiger, he was severely injured by the animal
