Once a young man was sitting on a sand hill. He was counting a large number of flying birds. A man sitting on a camel was passing by. He was surprised to see the boy good at counting. He promised him a job with the king. The man took him on his camel and went away. On the way they saw three men quarreling over dividing thirty five camels among themselves. The boy divided the camels among them. The men got thirty four camels and the boy got one. Everybody was happy.
c.) Write answers to the following questions.
1.) Where was the young man sitting? What was he doing there?
Answer: The young man was sitting on a sand hill. He was counting a large number of flying birds.
2.) How did he learn counting?
Answer: The young man worked as a shepherd and he used to count the sheep every day, this is how he learnt counting
3.) Who were quarreling?
Answer: On their way to the king, the young man and the boy saw three people quarreling with a herd of 35 camels nearby.

Answer: The young man decided their quarrel.
5.) The three brothers and the young men were happy. What made them happy?
Answer: Initially as per the three son’s father’s will, the eldest son would 17 ½ camels, the second would get less than 12 camels and the youngest would get less than 4 camels. But when the young Arab solved their problem each of the brother gained one camel each so they were happy. And as a reward the boy also got a camel from them, in this way he was also happy.
