=?
(a) 21 cm
(b) 22 cm
(c) 20 cm
(d) 25 cm
Ans:
(c) 20 cm = AB+BC+CD+DE+EA
= 5 cm + 6m + 4 cm + 2 cm + 3 cm
= 20 cm.
Question 2:
Find the perimeter of rectangle whose length 9cm and breadth 7cm respectively.
(a) 33 cm
(b) 34 cm
(c) 32 cm
(d) 30 cm
Ans:
(c) 32 cm,
Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (l + b)
= 2 (9 + 7)
= 2×16 = 32 cm
Question 3:
A farmer has rectangular field land of length 180 m and breadth 90 m. He wants to fence his land with 4 round of wire then what is the total length of wire must be use?
(a) 216 m
(b) 2160 m
(c) 2140 cm
(d) 214 m
Ans:
(b) 2160 m, perimeter = 2 (l + b)
= 2 (180 + 90) = 2×270
Perimeter of rectangle = 540
Wants wire to round it = 4×540
= 2160 m
Question 4:
Find the perimeter of triangular house whose length of each side is same 18 m?
(a) 54 m
(b) 57 m
(c) 58 m
(d) 59 m
Ans:
(a) 54m, perimeter of equilateral triangle = 3×side = 3×18m = 54m
Question 5:
Length of the rectangle = 9 cm find the breadth of the rectangle if the perimeter is 34 cm.
(a) 3 cm
(b) 4 cm
(c) 5 cm
(d) 6m
Ans:
(a) 3 cm
= 2 (l+ b)
34 = 2l + 2b = 2×9 + 2b
34 = 18 + 2b
34 – 18 = 2b
6 = 2b
6/2 = b,
b = 3 cm
Question 6:
Find the area of square whose sides are 16 cm.
(a) 48m
(b) 64m
(c) 56cm
(d) 65 cm
Ans:
(b) 64 m, area of square = 4×side
= 4×side
= 4×16m= 64 m
Question 7:
Find the perimeter of triangle.
(a) 14 cm
(b) 16 cm
(c) 20 cm
(d) 24 cm
Ans:
(a) 14 cm
= AB+BC+AC
= 6cm + 4cm + 8cm
= 14cm.
Question 8:
Find the area of rectangular door whose sides area 21 m and 4 m?
(a) 42 m
(b) 84 m
(c) 63 m
(d) 105 m
Ans:

Question 9:
If the one side of the rectangle is 4m and find the other side if the area of rectangle 56m?
(a) 14m
(b) 16m
(c) 18m
(d) 8m
Ans:
(a) 14m,
area = l×b
56m = 4×l
56m/4 = l = l =14m
Question 10:
Two sides of the triangle 31 cm and 29 cm find the third side if the perimeter of rectangle is 72 cm.
(a) 16 cm
(b) 12 cm
(c) 14 cm
(d) 18 cm
Ans:
(b) 12 cm perimeter = 1st + 2nd+ 3rd
72cm = 31cm + 29cm + 3rd
72 cm = 60 cm + 3rd
72 – 60 = 3rd = 3rd = 12cm
Question 11:
Splits the shape into rectangle and find their area.
(a) 8
(b) 14
(c) 10
(d) 12

= 7×1
= 7
Lower rectangle
= 3×1
= 3 = 3+7
= 10

Ans:
(b) 64
area of tiles = l×b
= 4×2 = 8 cm
Area of rectangular hall = 64cm × 8cm
= 512 cm
Area of rectangular hall/area of tiles = tiles needed for the hall
512cm/8cm = 64 tiles
