(A) The population of birds in several cities is falling what could be the reason for that their number should increase again.
Ans: Birds build their nest on the branches of the trees however, in big cities, there are no such trees to be found easily. So, there is no place to build a nest for birds therefore, we must plant more trees to increase the number of birds in big cities.
(B) What materials do ants use to make anthills?
Ans: Ants use sand, twigs to make anthills.
(2) Some doves and some pigeons have left the jungles and have some to live in areas where people live some mice have also done so. What could be the reasons for that?
Ans: Birds likes doves and pigeons left the jungle and started living in public areas because they get enough of food and water in such places. Some mice also take shelter by dugging burrows in public areas to get food as well as water.

Ans: Birds make their nests soft and warm by using cotton wool, piece of thread and string.
(4) Why do mice and rats not enter houses built with cement?
Ans: Mice and rats do not enter houses built with cement because they cannot dig holes into cement construction.

Ans: Besides caverns, bats also take shelter in old, deserted, tumble down buildings.
