Subject: – Damaged and Defective Street lights in our locality.
Respected Editor,
I want to draw attraction of government and muncipalty workers towards the genuine problem of our locality, through the column of your esteemed daily newspaper. The people are having lots of problems due to the damaged and defective street lights in our locality.
The street light in our residential area is not working and some of them are poorly working provide a dim light since months. Thus the people passing from that road are not feeling safe. After the evening no one can see further on the road, as the roads gets dark. Lots of accidents happened on the turning due to this. People have to carry torch with them every time so that they could see further. In the monsoon season, pits in the roads filled with water are not seen while driving or walking and thus many people have been failed.
We have made appeals to change or repair the street lights, and provide us proper lighting on each and every road, but no one had come to inspect or repair street lights. Thus I request you to publish this article so that the government will give attention to this serious problem.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
Mayank Chaudhary.

Subject: Provision for street lights on the Main Road
Sir,
Through the column of your esteemed daily, I, as a concerned resident of Dhantoli, would like to draw attention of the authority’s concern towards the bad condition of the street lights on the main road leading to Dhantoli.
There is poor state of the street lights on the main road. As most of the lights have been fused, it is very difficult to walk or drive on the road after it gets dark. Sometimes we stamp in garbage and many accidents have happened. Even the cases of chain or purse snatching, antisocial activities are also growing day by day.
We have informed the electricity department several times and they have given assurances of solving this problem. But till now they have not fixed the problem and the situation is continued as before. So, it is my humble request to the authority for fixing the street lights as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully
Umesh Majumder
