Respected Editor,
Before 3 days, a major flood hit the Maharashtra states – Sangali district. I have Evaluate the conditions of the area after the major flood. All the streets and many of the stores were under water in last 3 days. Today the condition is better than last night. Water of flood were gone into many residencies, 1st and 2nd floor were completely immersed. Railway tracks were completely under water and trains were stopped running, buses couldn’t move from the bus-stand. The situation of the trapped people was completely horrible. Many cultivated lands of the farmers were under water.
Near about 25 people including 3 children were drawn and carried away with the water. Many animals, furniture and stuffs from the homes are also carried away with the flow of the water. Army helped the trapped people out. Many people were homeless and took a shelter in the flood relief camp, settled by the army and voluntary organizations. They helped the residents with fresh water and food in last three days. Chief Minister of the Maharashtra personally visited the district and declared 100 crores for the resettlement of the farmer’s lands, resident’s houses, streets, railways tracks, and the entire ruined infrastructure. Also they announced 20 lakhs each for the drowned people. Many army police and local police are helping the people. It can be hoped that everything will be fine, and situation will be improved within a weak.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully,
Rajesh Roshan
