He was born on 8 January 1991 in Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia. His father is Trevor Hazlewood and mother’s name is Anne and he has siblings Aaron and Cassey Hilier. He started his cricket at the age of 19 and was the youngest player to debut for Australia. He participated in a number of games during his school days.

He made his record by debuting at the age of 17 in domestic circuits. In U19 he presented Australia in the Cricket world cup 2008. He continued to play in the same state. He was selected by CSK for 2 crore INR last December. In 2010 June 22 he did his ODI debut against England in the Rose Bowl in Southampton. He got the wicket of Craig Kieswetter.
