JEE Main Counselling 2023 Details
The JEE Main counselling 2023 will be administered by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) josaa.nic.in. The registration for JoSAA 2023 will commence on June 19.It is important to register for JoSAA/JEE Main counselling for those candidates who possess a valid JEE Main 2023 score. JoSAA will also conduct the counselling for IIT JEE Main 2023 in 6 rounds. Candidates will have to register online on the website to participate in the counselling and choose their preferred institutes and branches. Candidates who have appeared in JEE Main 2023 are eligible to participate in the counselling for admission to all the participating institutes of JoSAA through JEE Main scores. Candidates who will achieve a rank in JEE Advanced will get a chance of admission at IITs through josaa.nic.in. JoSAA counselling will be responsible for admissions to all 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and GFTIs. The JoSAA will conduct two rounds of mock seat allotment of JEE Mains before the actual rounds of counselling for JEE Main 2023 which will help candidates to understand the process. JEE Main Counselling Eligibility Criteria for Admission

For IITs, NITs, and CFTIs
· JEE Main eligibility criteria for IITs, NITs, and CFTIs will be granted by the authority based on the All India Rank (AIR) of candidates. · The requirement of securing 75% marks in the class 12 examination with a minimum of 65% for SC/ST candidates is expected to be waived off.

For BArch and BPlan Admission
· To be eligible for admission into BArch, candidates in the field of architecture need to achieve a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Chemistry, and physics in the qualifying examination. · Additionally, they must obtain an overall aggregate of 50% in the qualifying exam. · For candidates seeking admission into BPlan, it is required that they have passed their class XII or equivalent qualifying exam with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, as well as an overall aggregate of 50% in the qualifying exam.

1st Step: Registration process of JEE Main 2023 Counselling
Candidates are required to register on the official website of JoSAA 2023. Then register if they are appearing in JEE Main 2023 or JEE Advanced 2023. After logging in, provide their JEE Main application form 2023 number and password. It is essential for students to carefully verify all the details before finalizing the JEE Main counselling registration. Then, confirm the registration to proceed further.
2nd Step: College locking or Choice filling
Candidates must finalize their college and course preferences during the counselling process. Seat allotment is based on availability and choices that are made by candidate. After that candidates can select, edit, and lock their choices after each counselling round.
3rd Step: JEE Main Mock Seat Allotment
Seat allotment for JEE Main 2023 will be based on the candidates’ ranks in JEE Main 2023/JEE Advanced 2023. josaa.nic.in conduct mock seat allotment in two rounds in order to assist candidates in understanding their admission prospects. This process will provide candidates with insight into the seats they may be allocated based on their preference list. Additionally, candidates will have the opportunity to modify their preferences depending upon the mock allotment.
4th Step: Seat Allotment Six Rounds
Seat allotment will be based on merit, category, preferences, and seat availability. JoSAA will take six rounds of seat allotment.
5th Step: Counselling Fees
For allotment of the seats, candidates need to pay the counselling fees to secure their seats. The fee for the allotted seats can be paid through e-Challan or Net Banking. Furthermore, all necessary documents will be verified at the reporting center. Once the documents are verified and the fee is paid, candidates will receive a provisional admission letter.
6th Step: Reporting at the center
Candidates are required to bring their original documents and report to the designated JoSAA 2023 reporting center. Failure to report to the center or provide all the required documents may result in the cancellation of their candidacy.

Which documents are necessary for verification after JEE main 2023 Seat Allotment?
After accepting the seats assigned to them, candidates are required to visit the designated reporting centers established by JoSAA to undergo document verification. For that process, candidates must bring the following documents:
