JEE Main Important Guidelines on Exam Day
Exam day can be a stressful experience for many candidates. However, with proper planning and preparation, candidates can avoid confusion and perform well on the day of the exam. Here are some important guidelines that candidates can follow to make the most of their JEE Main exam day.
- Reach the Examination Hall early
Candidates should aim to reach the examination hall at least an hour before the reporting time mentioned on their admit card. This will have enough time to do the necessary requirements due to this. It is important to remember that after the gate closes, students will not be able to go inside the examination hall.
- Leave Electronic Devices and Other Prohibited Items Behind
Candidates should not bring any electronic devices or written/printed materials allowed during the exam. Anyone caught with them will be directly disqualified.
- Carry the required documents
Candidates must carry their JEE Main admit card and a valid photo ID proof to the exam hall.
- Follow the guidelines
Candidates should follow guidelines such as bringing their own pen (transparent ball pen) avoiding any kind of cheating, and not leaving the examination hall before the scheduled end time.
What are the benefits of JEE exam pattern 2024?
NTA has announced a new pattern for JEE Main 2024, which offers several benefits to students such as:
- If the student fails to do their best on their first try then they can get another two chances to increase their scores in the exam.
- By reducing the chance of students dropping out of school because they did poorly on the exam is one of the new pattern’s key benefits. This is especially helpful for students who are preparing for JEE Main alongside their board exams. Droppers will not have to waste an entire year and can take advantage of the two attempts to improve their scores.
- The new pattern also allows students to gain first-hand experience in taking the examination during their first attempt. This experience will help them identify their weaknesses and mistakes, which they can work on to improve their performance during their second attempt.
- It is not mandatory for a candidate to participate in both sessions of JEE Main 2024. Nevertheless, if a candidate takes part in one session only, their NTA scores for JEE Main 2024 will still be taken into account when compiling the merit list or ranking.
- Additionally, if a student misses the examination due to reasons beyond their control, such as the Board examination, they will not have to wait for an entire year to take the JEE Main exam.
Overall, the new pattern of JEE Main 2024 offers multiple benefits to students, allowing them to have a fair chance to perform at their best and reducing the stress and pressure of taking the exam.
