While Bhagat Singh’s agitation was going on in the jail, his close associates Rajguru and Sukhdev were arrested. All of them were charged with Saunders’ murder. On March 23, 1931, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, the great revolutionaries and freedom fighters of India, were hanged by the British.
