Teacher is the second mother & mentor of a child. We often see the image of our mother in our teacher. We feel safe & secure in her company. A teacher not only imparts education but also imparts knowledge which proves to be beneficial throughout the life. A teacher teaches discipline, punctuality & the importance of education to the children.
When I was admitted to the play school, I was 2 1/2 years old. There was a teacher who used to take our art & craft class was my favorite colouring activity. I felt really happy after getting that chocolate. I still remember I used to wait for her class when I went to the senior kg. I was really sad when I had to go to the formal school. I would miss her & often came to meet her. But then that teacher got shifted to other branch in another city. I still sometimes have a glimpse of her smiling face & the way she greeted us.
After I went to my formal school I got an English teacher who I found to be really loving. She used to calm me & my friends when we used to cry. She taught us for a few years. I used to feel secure when I was with her. She used to tell stories & jokes us which would make us laugh & giggle with her. The teacher used to greet us with a smile. She taught us numerous good habits of reaching school in time, greeting friends & teachers. She even taught us how to have confidence on ourselves. I still cherish the good lesson & ethics she taught me.
After I reached class (IV), we were shifted to the senior building. I would wait for her glimpse which was rare. Finally there was a language teacher who used to teach us hind, Assamese she noticed the sadness in me. I told her everything & she started laughing. From that day on wards I found a caring mentor in her. She used to guide me in everything. I really learnt many valuable lessons from her which I still cherish. She was the best teacher. She loved the children so much. She always used to care about the children & even guide us strictly when we needed it. I still remember we made a huge card for her birthday. She was extremely surprised & happy to see the card. I learnt from her that bookish knowledge is temporary but the knowledge we grasp & keep it in our mind & soul is forever. She even teached us to make wonderful art & craft. Her works were so beautiful. She later got promotion & I was delighted. She was really like my second mother, the best teacher ever.
