This made the British angry and they declared war against the French.
After this war Nawab Anwar-ud-din was defeated by the French and the power of the French got weaken.They were forced to sign a treaty and give back Madras to the British.

Ans: East India Company introduced themselves as a trading company to India but later it has proven itself as the biggest example of imperial power. They did it to hold their only power at the India’s profitable market against the competition with the other European traders. It started Monopoly at the market area. Soon took over the political power in their hand and looking after the administration system of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa.
(2) What is meant by a Dual government? How did it lead to public suffering?
Ans: In a Dual Government the administrative power was given to the ruler of a particular state and rest of the things like army, judiciary, revenue collection everything was under British East India company’s control.
Because of this system general public suffered a lot. For the lack of resources Nawab could not help them and the Company intentionally did not help. As a result famine happened and thousands of people died.

Ans: The Battle of Buxar is considered as the turning point for the British East India company as because after this company started colonial rule officially on Bengal and get the diwani of Bengal including Bihar and Orissa.
