Answer – Handpicking method is used to separate slightly large impurities such as

pieces of stone, dirt, husk from grains.

c.) In which work threshing method is used?

Answer – Threshing method is used to separate seeds from stalk

d.) Describe the winnowing method.

Answer – Winnowing method is used to separate heavier and lighter components of a

mixture by using air. This method is used by farmers to separate lighter particles from

heavy seeds.
