The population size and growth rates are important drivers of environmental change. More food is needed to feed more people, which lead to deforestation and the disappearance of the green fields.
In my friend’s village due to an increase in population, forest lands have been cleared for providing housing. However, deforestation led to losing of the soil that gave rise to devastating flood.
Another instance would be, while passing a bypass which was on the way while I returned home from school every day. I used to notice patches of farm land and farmers farming on it. Unfortunately very recently the land is under construction and a huge building is developing instead.
