Sub: Complaining about the rash driving by DTC drivers.
Sir,
I am writing this letter to draw the attention of the general manager, Delhi Transport Corporation through the columns of your prestigious daily towards the rash driving by the drivers of DTC buses running through Noida to Delhi route.
I am traveling on this route by DTC buses for 6-7 years daily, I have had a good experience with DTC buses in the past. But for last two months, I am witnessing very rush driving by the drivers. Regardless of complaining several times by the daily commuters, the drivers seems not to pay attention to our complain and drive in the same risky manner.
It was yesterday I was coming from office I witnessed a do or die situation. After having red light the driver don’t stop the bus and hit a truck coming from another direction. Although the impact was not severe but it break my patience.
And it is most risky for those commuters who doesn’t find a seat and have to stand for the journey. Because of e fast driving and sudden break they fall and hurt themselves many times.
The drivers neither follow the traffic rules nor do they care about the consequences of breaking the rules. They do not have fear about the law either. Some of the drivers use foul language and misbehave with the passengers if we request them to go slow and follow the traffic rules.
I write several written complain to the concerned authorities but they seems not to listen. Therefore, I request publicly to the concerned authorities for investigating the matter and take strict action against the drivers who doesn’t follow the guidelines.
The department should provide proper training, and create awareness and also maintain the provision of punishment for the misbehaved and rash-drivers.
I wish the top official of the Delhi Transport Corporation will notice my public complain of this grave situation.
Sincerely,
Prakash,
