1.) Why does the poet say that these cubs could be the last ones ever to freely live and to roam and mate?
The theme of the poem is to make people aware about the endangerment and species that are on the verge of extinction. Tiger is one such endangered species, there are only few number of tigers left on the planet earth if we do not take proper care of them new tigers won’t be able to .you have the surface of the earth cat as a result the poet says that if people continue to be careless and hunt animals for their own use then species such as tigers and their Cubs will be the last one to exist freely and live their life by themselves.
2.) ‘She waits for all the life she’s making’. What does the poet convey through this line?
In this line the poet talks about another endangered species that are the bears, especially the white bears that live in the coldest regions of the earth. Due to climate change glaciers and ice caps are melting and their habitat is in danger. Thus by saying that she waits for all the life she’s making, the poet wants to convey that these animals look up to us for saving their habitat hence it becomes our responsibility.
