Answers:
The target audience for old age facilities are senior citizens. Most elderly individuals today want to reside in nursing facilities. The estrangement of the elderly has been exacerbated by a variety of circumstances, such as young couples moving from rural to urban areas in quest of better job prospects, children being unfair to their parents at times, and the elderly not being given access to adequate medical services. It is unfortunate that in today’s society, good relationships and human values are rare. Parents who are older often resemble kids, due to the neglect they receive from their children who are too busy trying to make money. According to our culture, a child’s responsibility is to take care of his or her parents, but this doesn’t occur in society today. This puts a lot of pressure on parents and causes them to suffer.India is rapidly modernizing, and this is having an impact on the elderly. In the West, it is common for parents to live alone or in nursing facilities. In India, however, old age facilities are not often visited by the elderly on their own. They often have to be forced to go there by their families.
Qualified personnel in old age homes can provide support to the elderly. They are easily fed and kept clean. The appropriate medical care is provided. Special medical services, such as ambulances, nurses, and mobile health care systems, are available to the elderly in nursing homes. In addition to food, shelter, and medical care, they have access to entertainment and library facilities. Residents of these homes form bonds with one another. When elders share their joys and sorrows with one another, they feel safer and closer. They coexist peacefully here.
In old age homes, they receive the much-needed comfort, consolation, and company. We can prevent the elderly from entering nursing homes by demonstrating our love and respect for them. The children should look after them. They should provide them with sufficient medical care. They should allow their parents to roam around and interact freely in their homes.
