Answer the following questions.
1.) What did Margie write in her diary?
Answer :-Margie wrote in her diary , “Today Tommy found a real book!”
2.) What did Margie find strange in the book?
Answer:- Margie found the pages were yellow and crinkly, and it was awfully funny to read words. When the pages were turned same words were reflected back side.
3.) Why do you think Margie was disappointed?
Answer:-Margie mother called up the county inspector to check the mechanical teacher as it was given test after test in geography and Margie wasn’t performing good. County inspector came and checked and did some corrections in it. Margie was disappointed because she thought county inspector will take teacher away altogether.
4.) Why did she think the old kind of school must have been fun?
Answer:-Margie think the old kind of school must have been fun because she could imagine that all kids from neighbourhood going together to school laughing and shouting. All kids sitting together in one class, learning together, learning the same things, so they could help one another with the homework and talk about it. After school all kids going home together enjoying the time. And teachers were humans. She found this fun
5.) Margie says old school was better than the future school! …. Do you agree with this statement? Give reasons.
Answer:-Yes, I agree with this statement. Old school was better than the future school. School were kids are been taught by the human teacher, who can connect with them emotionally and make them comfortable, teach them in easy ways, make them hear the stories, lessons. Kids learnt the same thing together and help each other. But in future school kids been taught by mechanical teacher and sit in one place alone learning the lessons. No physical activity or fun of learning studying together.
6.) What kind of school do you wish to have after 30 years?
Answer:-The kind of school I wish to have after 30 years would be like reducing the heavy weight of books and school bags of kids. Teachers using the advanced techniques and technology for study purpose. All study done in school itself, no homework.
7.) ‘And the teachers were people.’ What do you understand by this expression?
Answer:-‘And the teachers were people.’ This expression means the early days teachers were humans and not the mechanical teacher as Margie has now.

As you can see, there are two adjectives that precede the noun ‘man’. The adjectives ‘round’ and ‘little’ appear in a certain order. The adjective ‘little’ refers to the ‘size’ and ‘round’ indicates the ‘shape’.
Think of two adjectives of size and shape for the following objects and put them before the nouns.

What, according to you, is the function of the underlined clause? Which part in the sentence does it modify? The underlined parts in these sentences are Relative Clauses.
A Relative Clause gives extra informaton about or identifies a person, place, time or thing. It normally begins with a relative pronoun such as who, where, when, what, which or that. It functions like an adjective. It is known as adjective clause. Now, read the following sentences and underline the relative clause
