vi) How will mining in that piece of land affect people of the area?
3.) What is sustainable development? How is it useful in natural resource management?(AS1)
Ans: Development and conservation can coexist in harmony. When we use the environment in ways that ensure we have resources for the future, it is called sustainable development.
Sustainable development generally promotes the minimum use of natural resource for the upcoming generation , majorly it focus on use renewable energy such as solar energy, wind energy, hydropower energy etc. It prevents deforestation , soil erosion and pollutions such as water.
4.) Write a detailed note on management of a natural resource.(AS1)
Ans: Natural resource management refers to the conservation of natural resources such as water, land ,forest, minerals and the ecosystem. The management of resource is necessary to prevent the overuse of it and to maintain the level by which the upcoming generation can also use it for their purpose. It can be maintained by preventing the deforestation and by planting more trees, by using the renewable energies such as solar energy, wind energy, hydropower energy etc., Conserving the ecosystem and its biodiversity is very essential . Government policies and laws are very important to maintain the natural resources as it promotes legal activities and resolve the conflicts.
5.) Suggest some ways of reusing a resource in your locality?(AS1)
Ans: water can be saved by collecting the rain water and use it for other purpose such as washing vehicles and providing it to the plants.
Solar energy can be used by solar panels to generate electricity .
Left over and garden waste can be composed to make a nutrient rich soil for plants.
6.) Why should we conserve forests and wild life?(AS1)
Forest are the main element of the ecosystem which consist of biodiversity having various species of plants and animals.
Forest are majorly responsible for air purification , soil and climate regulation. Many plants have medicinal value.
Forest is necessary for food and agriculture.
Many herbs, dyes , fruits ,medicines are provided by the forest.
7.) Suggest some approaches towards the conservation of forests.(AS1)
Ans: There should be laws which take actions on illegal activities.
Awareness among the people about the importance of forest in the ecosystem.
There should be proper maintenance of the forest.
There should be afforestation to restore the forests.
8.) Natural resources are decreased more rapidly. Guess what will be the consequences?(AS2)
Ans: If ntural resource decrease more rapidly, there will be shortage of it for the upcoming generation. There will be changes such as climate change due to deforestation there will be increased level of co2. Due to over use of fossil fuels there will be crisis , transportation can be affected and industries can stop working.
It will further affect the ecosystem, biodiversity and certain species.
9.) Prepare a questionnaire to conduct an interview at a petrol filling station personnel about consumption of fossil fuels?(AS2)
Ans: 1. What is the daily consumption of fossil fuel at the station?
2.) Is there any impact on the consumption of fuels if there is any variation in charges?
3.) How you track the consumption of the fuel?
4.) how you deal with the wastage of fuel?
5.) what measures should be taken to conserve the fossil fuels?
10.) Prepare model for rain water harvesting / energy saving / soil management, reflecting your innovative thoughts. (AS3)
Ans:
For rain water harvesting the house is used . The roof of it is coated with pipes through which the rain water is passed .At larger space the water is collected and then passed to the container which is build underground. On other side there is a container which is not underground and also used to preserve the rain water.
11.) List out names of villages farmers and procedure followed for restoration of any natural resource in your area.(AS4)
Sr.No. |
