Answer: Reason behind the declining Harappan civilization – it was a belief that this big civilization was destroyed because of some Natural disaster such as flood, earthquake etc. Or else there was a possibility of the destruction because of the changing course of Indus river. Moreover several invasion could destroy this big civilization.
3.) Explain the town planning system of the Indus people.
Answer: Town planning of Indus valley civilization- town planning of Indus valley civilization was very well planned and divided into two parts – upper part or citadel and lower part or lower town. Town hall, Great bath and granary were situated in the upper part but the lower town was residential area. Broad road ways and double or triple storeys buildings were built up on the both sides of the roads. Streets were cut each other in right angles and the buildings were made up of red baked bricks, stones or woods.
