Common University entrance test 2024 exam:

Every year CUET exam is conducted by National testing agency, which is a common entrance test for almost 300 central University. The exam conducted once a year which offers various courses to the undergraduate degree or diploma. The examination is conducted in online mode and question pattern is multiple choice question there for it is a computer-based test. As the exam is given by the huge lot of students therefore by making it more comfortable for students to reach the centre of exam, national testing agency of offered almost 387 exam centres in all over the India and 24 cities made available for the students as examination centre out of India.

Common University entrance test examination for UG 2024:

Previously the test was named as central University common entrance test but it was changed to common University entrance test by the national testing agency. Every year National testing agency releases some important dates regarding the examination such as notification, application form date, release of admit card and all the examination dates.

This year also national testing agency have released all the important dates lets summarise all the dates has the main common University entrance test Examination 2024 notification will release on january 2024. CUET (Common University Entrance Test) Application form 2024:

National testing agency will open the application form for common University entrance test examination in February 2024 on the official website of common university entrance test. To fill the application form in the correct manner student should follow some basic steps like registration, upload the documents and image and online or offline payment via challan. After filling the application form students re-confirm about their application form submission. As CUET is one of the exam which is giving admission to the Central University which are fully funded, so student should follow each and every step in a systematic manner.

CUET (Common University Entrance Test) Application fee 2024:

To pay the application fees of common University entrance test several options are available such as student can pay their fee by using credit card/ debit card/ net banking/ UPI or if not online then can challan of any authorised Bank. Application fees are given according to category, as both the online and offline mode are available for the application fees therefore the taxes or GST will also be included in the fees.

If the students paying the fees through online mode such as debit card of credit card or UPI then the application fees for the general category students and OBC students is INR 800 and if students belong to SC or ST category the fees would be INR 350, whereas students from Public Work Department (PWD) they are exempted from the online application fees.

If the Students are paying through any bank challan, then application fee for general category students and OBC students is 850 Rs. in which 800 is application fee and 50 Rs. is Bank Commission. If student belongs to SC or ST category total fees would be 400 Rs. From which 350 Rs. is application fee whereas Rs. 50 is Bank Commission.

Steps to fill online application form:

To fill the online application form of common University entrance test candidate should follow some steps:

  • Step 1: As given above click on the official website of common University entrance test to fill the application form 2024.
  • Step 2: Once you open the official website, common University entrance test picture will display on your screen. Go to the option apply online and start registration for the examination.
  • Step 3: Once you done with the second step the next screen will display and it will show 3 options such as UG (undergraduate), PG (postgraduate) and RP (research proposal). Select any appropriate option.
  • Step 4: After entering the appropriate program option the registration process will start such as name of the applicant, mobile number, date of birth and valid email ID for OTP. The OTP is for verification purpose.
  • Step 5: Complete the application form by entering all the details correctly. After submission candidate will receive application form and password on the registered email id or mobile number.
  • Step 6: By using the same application number and password candidates can proceed for the next step to fill the application form such as personal details, permanent address for communication and qualification details till the date.
  • Step 7: Once the student complete the previous step, website will demand the proof copy of all the documents along with signature. Upload all the required documents such as 10th marksheet, passing certificate, 12th marksheet and passing certificate, aadhar card and photo.
  • Step 8: After uploading all the documents, next step will open to select the appropriate examination centre. Students have to select three preference examination centre.
  • Step 9: After entering all the details check the form and submit.
  • Step 10: After submission of online application form, next step will be submission of application fees either by using online or offline mode.
  • Step 11: Print the application form for future use.

Eligibility criteria for CUET (Common University Entrance Test) 2024:

To appear for the common University entrance test, national testing agency have set some criteria for admission in all the courses such as UG (undergraduate) and PG (post graduate). The candidate most fulfil the eligibility criteria only then candidate can fill the application form for CUET exam. For filling the online application form, the qualification criteria must be satisfy. Even if the student have less marks in HSC exam like 55% still one can fill the form.

To fill the online application form candidate at most qualify 12th examination with at least 50% in general and OBC category and candidates belong to SC or ST category must secure with at least 45%.

There is no age criteria for the candidates who have passed 12th exam or any exam which is equivalent to the 12th. Age should be mentioned in the application form.

Reservation Criteria for CUET (Common University Entrance Test) 2024:

As common University entrance test examination is one of the entrance test which is providing facility of admission in various funding Central University there for there are certain norms which should be followed. According to this norms National testing have some reservation criteria.

According to this reservation criteria some seats are reserve for various categories such as SC, ST, OBC and also PwD category.

According to the norms which are given by the government of India SC (scheduled caste) category should have 15% reservation seat, where are ST (scheduled tribes) have 7.5, 6 person with disability most have 5% seats whereas OBC (other backward classes) should have 27% reservation.

CUET (Common University Entrance Test) Exam Pattern 2024:

The common University entrance test examination conducted by national testing agency earlier it was offline test but recently they have started it online. This examination is conducted in 13 languages such as English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Urdu, Odia, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Assamese and Malayalam.

Let’s discuss about the pattern of examination.

The examination is completely based on multiple choice questions. In the question paper 175 questions are given from that candidate must solve 140 questions.

In common university entrance test examination for undergraduate one mark is for the one question correct answer and there is no negative marking whereas in postgraduate 4 marks are given to each question correct answer and one mark will be deducted for one wrong answer. Negative marking included in post-graduation examination.

As the languages given below, candidate can solve any three language from section 1A and section 1B.

In case of section 2, 27 subjects are given from that candidate can select maximum 6 subjects.

At there are 27 domain specific subjects are included from that student should select maximum six subject of their comfort.

The list of domain specific subject is Sanskrit, performing arts such as dance (Bharatanatyam Kathak or any dance form) drama or any music art, mass media or Mass Communication, agriculture, teaching aptitude, sociology, anthropology, commercial arts such as painting sculpture or fine arts, psychology, biochemistry or biotechnology or biology, economics or business economics, chemistry, business studies, in Informatics practices or computer science, engineering graphics, entrepreneurship, geography or geology, history, home science, legal studies, knowledge tradition and practices of India, physical education such as yoga and NCC, physics, mathematics, environmental science, political science.

Section 1A contain 13 languages such as English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Urdu, Odia, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Assamese and Malayalam.

Section 1B Contains 20 languages such as Sanskrit, Chinese, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, Maithili, Dogri, Bodo, Konkani, Nepali, German, Kashmiri, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, French, Spanish etc.

The examination conducted for undergraduate candidate is divided into four section, they are named as section 1A, section 1B(which is collectively called as section 1), section 2 and section 3.

Section 1A is based on 13 languages whereas section 1B is best on 20 languages. Section 1 carries total 50 questions from which candidate can solve any 40 questions. Section 2 carries 2017 domain specific subject in which 45 or 50 questions are given candidate can solve any 35 or 40 questions respectively.

Section 3 contains general test in which number of questions are 60 from which candidate can attempt any 50 questions.

CUET (Common University Entrance Test) Exam Syllabus 2024:

The common University entrance test examination syllabus its completely based on the previous syllabus. The topics are related to the syllabus which are the candidates studied in 11th and 12th for undergraduate CUET examination and candidates who are appearing for post-graduation common University entrance test for those syllabuses is based on undergraduate topics, so the syllabus is familiar to the students.

As we are mainly concerned with the Under Graduate Common University Entrance Test Examination in whichOne of the important subject is languages in with the questions are asked on the vocabulary, literary, narrative and reading comprehension type. In language subject mainly the knowledge is test of particular language for which grammar questions are asked which are tricky to answer. Therefore it is one of the difficult task for the students to prepare and select the language.

Common University entrance test under graduate syllabus is also given for the domains specific subject, as we have discussed in paper pattern there are 27 domain specific subjects.

  1. Chemistry: This is one of the important domain specific subject in which atomic structure, chemical bonding solid state, petroleum, general organic chemistry, preparation and properties, polymers, isomerism, thermochemistry, carbohydrates, reaction intermediate, catalysis, chemical equilibrium and Kinetics, redox reaction, periodic table etc. are included.
  2. Physics: One of the challenging subject for the students in which the major topics on which questions are asked are measurement, motion in One dimension, model physics, wave optics, ray optics and optical instrument, laws of motion, motion into dimensions, gravitation, rotation of a Richard body about a fixed axis, linear momentum and collisions, work power and energy, heat and thermodynamics, current electricity, matter, magnetic effect of current and electrostatics.
  3. Mathematics: This subject gives a full marks but if solved properly, majorly questions asked on the topic such as algebra, probability, trigonometry, dynamic and statics, vectors, co-ordinate geometry, calculus and vectors.
  4. Zoology: The subject is completely based on theory in which the major topics are origin of life, organic evolution, mechanism of organic evolution, human Genetics and eugenics, applied biology, animal physiology, mammalian anatomy etc.
  5. Botany: Many of the students select this subject, as it is one of the easiest subject the topics ask on this subject are plant cell, photosynthesis, protoplasm, ecology, genetics, anatomy of root, stem and leaf, important phylums, cell differentiation plan tissue etc.

For undergraduate students’ English language will contain vocabulary such as synonyms and antonyms of the words. Fundamentals of grammar in which filling the blanks, to correct the incorrect statement and comprehensive passages will be there to test the knowledge of the student and understanding to the subject.

For numerical ability major areas covered are modern maths, basic of algebra, area like arithmetic and number system. Where as in the subject general awareness and current affairs mainly general knowledge and national and international current affairs are included.

In logical and analytical reasoning, various topics such as puzzles, directions, sitting arrangement, logical sequences, analogy, series, cocks and calendars, syllogisms are included.

Common University entrance test colleges:

Common University entrance test examination held for various universities, in the year 2024-25 the CUET exam will include 43 colleges from various States such as Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra etc.

The colleges which are included under common University entrance test in Delhi are Jamia Milia Islamiya, Jawaharlal Nehru University, university of Delhi, central Sanskrit University and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University. Similarly, the colleges which are affiliated to CUET in Andhra Pradesh are national Sanskrit University, central University of Andhra Pradesh et.

The list of colleges in Uttar Pradesh are Aligarh Muslim University, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and university of Allahabad. In Assam, assam University, Tezpur University where are in Bihar central University of South Bihar and Mahatma Gandhi central University are included.

Central University of Gujarat is the only University from Gujarat. From Haryana central University of Haryana accepts CUET exam.

The state such as Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir also accept CUET exam in universities such as central University of Himachal Pradesh, central University of Jammu and Central University of Kashmir. In Jharkhand again Central University of Jharkhand and in Karnataka central University of Karnataka.

Similarly, Kerala, Odisha, Punjab Rajasthan Tamil Nadu have the university central University of Kerala, central University of Odisha, central University of Punjab, central University of Rajasthan and Central University of Tami Nadu respectively.

In Madhya Pradesh two Universities are affiliated to common University entrance test are Dr. Hari Singh Gaur Vishwa Vidyalaya and Indira Gandhi National Tribal University.

In Uttarakhand affiliated university in Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University and from Chhattisgarh guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya.

In Maharashtra only University affiliated to common University entrance test is mahatma Gandhi Antar Rastriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya. Similarly,Manipur has Manipur University and Telangana has maulana Azad National Urdu University.

Mizoram and Nagaland have Mizoram University and Nagaland University respectively. Meghalaya has North Eastern hill University and Pondicherry has Pondicherry University. Similarly,Sikkim have Sikkim University the English and Foreign Language University.

Tripura includes Tripura University and West Bengal includes Visva Bharati University.

Therefore this is the list of colleges and University which are affiliated to common University entrance test examination and accept the score of CUET exam.

As common University entrance test examination is mainly for Central University, although state University also participated in common University entrance test examination.

Common University Entrance test 2024 cut off:

The national testing agency releases the Cut off based on the difficulty level of examination number of seats available and number of students appearing for the exam. Students can see cut off for various categories along with the score card. The cut off will vary according to the category mostly the cut off for open and OBC category is more whereas if we compare the cut off of SC, ST category is comparatively less.
