 (1) How can you say forest is a habitat for people?

Ans: – From ancient times forests have been a home of people besides animals and plants. In various forest area of our state.

We find some people still living there and making it their home. The people usually live in a place in the forest where water is available.

A forest is a community of many trees. It covers a large area using carbon-dioxide, water, soil nutrients etc. Forests take up a large amount of carbon-dioxide and give the environment oxygen. They supply the oxygen that we need to survive. They provide the timber for products we use every day.

Forest also provide habitat for a vast area of plants and animals. They protect our watersheds. Forest are an important source of fuel wood, cane, oils, fruits, nuts, fodder for animals, honey etc.

The forests also have wild varieties of the cultivable crops and medicinal plants. Forests help to control soil erosion and also help in causing rain. Forests keep the surrounding cool.

SO forests gives many more things for people that why forests is a habitat for people.

(3) How do we depend on forests?

Ans: – We depend on forest for our survival. Forests give us oxygen and take up a large of carbon dioxide. Ans: – Usually people destroy the forest for their own economic purpose for examples. Earning by selling trees and thus excessive cutting down of trees called deforestation. Deforestation also takes place when forests are cleared to construct buildings, road, industries etc. Now a day’s thermal, nuclear power plants. Morning industries led by multinational companies are a c major threat to forest and also caused for deforestation. Often large parts of forests are also last due to forest fire.

It can be stopped by spreading awareness about its bad effects.

Ans: – Nayadu cheruvn thanda is a small village near the dense forest Nallamala of Prakashan District. This village is surrounded by the thick forests as well with several wild animals.

People living in this village belong to ‘Chenchu’ tribe. A chenchu walks through forests for nearly 30km everyday and their also has enough knowledge of forest. They collect various food products from forest like – soap nuts, honey, bamboo, tamarind, etc and sell them in a market name, ‘Santha’. Then they purchase materials like clothes etc. They also collect medicinal plants from the forest for which they are well known throughout the state.

(12) We can see animals not only in the forests but also in the zoo. Write some similarities and difference animals are found in the zoo and the forests.

Ans: – The similarities between the condition in which animals are found in the zoo and the forest are –

Both places are safe for animals to live.

Both places will give enough food and shelter for animals.

Both places are perfect habitat for all these animals.

Difference:

Zoo has its limits space for animals, but in the case of forests has unlimited places where animal can move and wander around all places/area and hunt their own pray.

Animal in zoo feel depressed due to lack of free space.

Zoo animals get food timely but forest animals have to search their food.

Zoo animals not harm us but forest animals may cause ham to us.

Forest is filled with dense greenery so animals are not caged, they are free here. But in zoo animals are caged and they are not free as well.
