As we know temperature changes on Earth, so according to temperature state of the water also changes. Therefore there are 3 types of state of water or water can be present in 3 forms.
1.) Solid state
2.) Liquid state
3.) Gaseous state
1.) Solid state :
Solid state of water is occurs when temperature is 0⁰ C. Ice is the solid state of water.
As given in diagram, solid state of water will occur when the temperature is cooled down.
When steam get cool, it converts to water similarly when water get cooled it converts to ice. The examples of solid state are ice and snow.
2.) Liquid state :
Liquid is the state of water we drink. At room temperature the water is present in liquid state. When ice is heated it will converted to water and when water vapors or steam get cooled down it converts to liquid water.
3.) Gaseous state
This is the state of water occurs when temperature is too high, this condition also called as water vapor. Because gaseous condition occurs when temperature is near 100⁰ C. When ice get heat it converts to liquid and when liquid water gets heat it converts to gaseous state. Let’s take example from our day to day life, when we boil water after some time, we can observe that the bubbles are releasing from the vessel in air.
