(3) What is Inter Molecular Force?

Ans. The molecules in a substance are hold together by the forces acting between the molecules which are called Inter molecular force.

(4) Define Monoatomic Molecules? Give an example of Monoatomic Molecules?

Ans. A molecule consisting of one atom is called Monoatomic molecule.

Example: Neon, Argon.

(5) What is Diatomic Molecule? Give an examples.

Ans. A molecule having two atoms are called diatomic molecule.

Example:- Hydrogen, Oxygen.

(6) What is force of cohesion? and what is force of adhesion?

Ams. The force of attracyion between the particles of same substances is called the force of cohesion or cohesive force.

And while the force of attraction between the particles of two different substances is called the force of adhesion or Adhesive force.

(7) Which state of Matter show the property of Viscosity and Surface tension?

Ans. Liquid state.

(8) What is the Melting point of ice and boiling point of water?

Ans. The melting point of ice os 0 degree celsius and the boiling point of water is 100 degree celsius.
