(1) Fill in the blanks:

(i) 999 + 1 = 1000

(ii) 10,000 – 1 = 9999

(iii) 10 coins – 1 coin = 9 coin.

(iv) Rs. 99 + Rs. 1 = Rs. 100

(v) 10,000 boys – 1 boy = 9999 boys

(vi) 1000 toys – 1 toy = 999 toys

(2) The number of students = 3 digit number.

(3) The smallest number just more than 9,99,999 = 1000000

(4) The previous five numbers = 99999, 99998, 99997, 99996, 99995.

(5) 1000000, 1000001, 1000002, 1000003, 1000004

(6) The largest 3 digit number = 999

Smallest 4 digit number = 1000

Their difference – 1000 – 999 = 1.
