1.) We need trees to protect our environment.
Four reasons given by the grand father were:
- Too keep the desert away.

- To prevent the banks of rivers from being washed away by rain

2.) Daughter helped his grandfather in planting trees because the thought of a world without trees became a sort of nightmare to him.
3.) The grand father was planting saplings on the rocky island because he saw a small mango tree was growing on the island. And he assumed that if a small mango tree can grow in the rocky island other trees could also grow there.
