Define each of the following terms. Draw a figure to explain your definition.
(1) Closed Figure: A closed figure is figure which can be traced using the same starting
and stopping points, and without crossing or retracing any section of the figure.
(2) Simple Closed Figure: A closed figure is figure which can be traced using the same
starting and stopping points, and without crossing or retracing any section of the figure.
(3) Polygon: a plane figure with at least three straight sides and angles,
and typically five or more.
(4) Radius of Circle: a radius of a circle or sphere is any of the line segments from
its center to its perimeter, and in more modern usage, it is also their length. The name
comes from the Latin radius, meaning ray but also the spoke of a chariot wheel.
(5) Chord: a group of (typically three or more) notes sounded together, as a basis of harmony.
(6) Diameter: a straight line passing from side to side through the centre of a body or figure,
especially a circle or sphere.
