The Himalayan biodiversity hotspot is spread in 7,50,000sq km area and house about 10,000 plant species out of which 3,160 species are endemic. Apart from 300 species of mammals, 997 species of birds, 176 species of re[tiles, 105 species of amphibians ,269 species of fish, are also found here.
