2) What are Placeholders?
Ans :- Placeholders are indicated by dotted lines on the slide layouts where we can use to insert/add titles, subtitles, tables, charts, SmartArt Graphics, pictures, clip art, videos, audios etc.
3) What are Themes?
Ans :- Themes are the by-default sets of colours box , fonts, background/formatting effects which are used to apply to our slides, to make attractive and give a professional look to it.
4) Write the names of different view button available at the status bar of PowerPoint window?
Ans :- There are four view buttons that are Normal view, Slide Sorter view, Reading view, Slide Show view available at the status bar of PowerPoint window.
5) What is Gradient Fill?
Ans :- Gradient fill is the mixture/combination of two or more colours into each other and
that colour we can use as the background in our slide.
6) Which options are available in the Fill pane and Format Background dialog box?
Ans :- Solid Fill , Gradient Fill, Picture or Texture fill , Pattern Fill are the options that
comes under Fill pane and Format Background dialog box.
4. Long Answer Type Questions :-
1) Explain briefly about the different methods to change the appearance of slides.
Ans :- When you open PowerPoint, you see a single slide automatically/by default added to it with white colour background. To make/ appearance of the slides its looks and feel. PowerPoint allows the user to change the appearance of the slide by changing its background colour, design/theme, background texture, pattern, gradient.
2) What is Slide Layout? How will you change it in PowerPoint?
Ans :- In the slide, there is a technique which is used to adjust the things and objects is called layout. At the time of slide insertion we can select slide layout or we can change after the insertion of slide. Following are the steps to change the slide layout :-
i) First of all click and select the slide whose layout we are willing to change.
ii) Go to Home tab and click on layout where the drop down menu appears which is
located in slides group
iii) From the list of the layouts, select and click on the required layout.
3) Write about the slide View options in PowerPoint?
Ans :- Following are the options available in the slide View in PowerPoint are :
i) Normal view :- The presentation is by default viewed in Normal view. In this view,
the slides are arranged in a vertical way (which is known as the slide tab positioned
at the left side of the task pane) displaying the currently active slide on the screen.
You can edit or create or move the slides are in Normal view
i) Slide sorter view :- In this view all the all the slides of the presentation are viewed
in the miniature form which means that all the slides are viewed at one time. This
view we can drag and drop any slides to rearrange in order.
iii) Slide Show View :- In this view the slide is been viewed on the full computer
screen, just like viewed during presentation. This view provides some features
which allows to navigate the slides or we can other feature during presentation.
iv) Reading View :- When we view the presentation in this view, the screen I
completely filled with presentation. There are some buttons available at the
bottom right of the screen, for easy navigation.
v) Zoom Slider :- With the help of this view, you can have a look at the contents of
slide by zooming in. There are two buttons on the zoom slider as + for zoom in and
– sign for zoom out. Zoom slider is available at the status bar.
