Browse the following sites for more information and also to watch a film on Hachiko. After going through the sites, write all the new information you get on Hachiko.
Answer:
The dog, Hachiko, was more than just a companion. He was a genuine friend. He was incredibly loyal and faithful. Hachiko’s daily greeting of his human buddy and master was a ritual the obedient dog continued even after his owner’s passing. Hachiko, an Akita breed golden-brown puppy, was born at a Japanese farm on November 10, 1923. Hachiko was adopted by Professor Hidesaburo Ueno in 1924, and he brought him to live with him in Shibuya, a tiny town near Tokyo. At Tokyo Imperial University’s Agriculture Department, Professor Hidesaburo Ueno was a professor. The professor would accompany Hachiko as they walked to the Shibuya train station each morning to watch his boss board the train for work. The professor would take the train home when the day’s classes were over and arrive back at the station at 3 o’clock. Hachiko returned to the Shibuya railway station the day after his owner passed away in 1925, and he did so every day for the following nine years until he passed away in March 1935. In his honour, a bronze statue of Hachiko stands in front of the Shibuya train station. He waited there. The Japanese name for Hachik is chken Hachik, which translates to “loyal dog Hachik,” with hachi denoting “eight” and k denoting “affection.”
