(Q3) Short Answer Type Questions :-
(1) Write about UNDO command?
Answer:- UNDO command is used for performing/reversing the last action that we had by done at the time editing in the document. Ctrl + Z is the shortcut key combination that is used for UNDO command.
2) Which are basic three font styles
Answer:- The three basic font styles are Bold (B), Italic (I), and Underline (U).
(3) What are Headers and Footers in MS Word
Answer:- Header is used at the top of the page (it acts like title of the page) and a footer is a statement given at bottom of the page. If we want to apply the same heading of the first page to the other pages in a document, then we can make use of header.
(4) How many Change Case options are available in MS Word? Write their names?
Ans :- If we had typed the text in the document into the uppercase, and later one we realise it that we need the text to be appearing in the lowercase, than we can convert the selected text into lower case automatically after click on Change case ribbon, without manually retyping it. The some types of text change cases which are Sentence case, lowercase, UPPERCASE, Capitalize Each Word, tOGGLE cASE.
(5) How many alignments are available in MS Word? Write their names and shortcut keys?
Ans :- There are four alignments available MS Word which are Alight Text Left (Ctrl +L), Align Text Center (Ctrl + E), Align Text Right (Ctrl + R), Justify (Ctrl + J).
(6) How can we page break in MS Word
Answer:- For inserting the page break, we have to click/move on a location where we want to insert the page break/start a new page —— then go to the Insert tab —— select the Page break option that is under Pages group.
OR
The other method for inserting page break into the document is by pressing Ctrl + Enter key.
(Q4) Long Answer Type Questions :-
(1) Write about Clipboard group options of Home tab in MS Word.
Answer:- When you open the MS Word window, you may see the Clip board group under Home Tab and it is the very first group that comes under Home tab. Under the Clipboard group, you may find some commands such as Paste, Cut/Copy, Format Painter.
(A) Cut/copy :- If incase you want to move/ or make the copy of the selected text (copying withou disturbing the original one) within the document, then we can perform this operations by clickin on Cut (which is indicated by a small scissor symbol) / Copy (which is indicated by two small pages attached together symbol, and it is just below the Cut command) and Paste command (is indicated by the small symbol of yellow colour writing pad and white paper stuck on it, it is displayed just on the left handside of the Clipboard group). Before the action of cut/copy command, very first the text needs to be selected. The short cut key combination for performing the Cut command is Ctrl + X key and Copy is Ctrl + C key from the keyboard. The steps for performing the Cut/Copy command is as followed :-
(a) First of all go to the Clipboard group that is under the Home tab ——— make a click on Cut (if you want to move the selected text within the document) / Copy (if you want to make a duplicate copy of the selected text within the document without disturbing the original text) as per your need.

(a) First of make a right click on the selected text ——– after which a pop- up list appears ——– select the Cut/Copy command as per the requirement.
B) Paste :- The paste command you may find it under the Clip board group that comes under the Home Tab. Paste command (is indicated by the small symbol of yellow colour writing pad and white paper stuck on it, it is displayed just on the left handside of the Clipboard group). The Paste does the work similar to the manual sticky glue/gum i.e means of sticking any thing. Same like that paste command also performs the task of sticking the the cut/copied text in the desired location in the document. Before applying/making use of this command, it necessary for us to place the cursor on the location where we want to paste the selecetd cut/copied text in the document. We can make use of the Paste command by simply making a short cut key combination of Ctrl + V key. The steps for performing the Cut/Copy command is as followed :-
(a) First of all go to the Clipboard group that is under the Home tab ——— make a click on Paste (which is sued for pasting/sticking the selected text within the document).

(b) First of all go to the location where you want to stick/paste the cut or copied in the document ———- Right click the mouse button —– after which the pop up menu appears ———— select and click on the Paste command.
(2) Write about the options available in Font group of Home tab in MS Word.
Answer:- The options which are available on the Font Group of Home tab in MS Word are as followed :-
(A) Font face and Font size :- To give the attractive and beautiful look to the text that you have typed in your document, you can change the selected text of the document into different styles. Font face in Word is used for changing the overall look of the alphabets or words in the document. There are many faces which are mostly helpful in changing the look. The font faces are Calibri (Body), Arial Black, Times New Roman etc. When you open MS Word, you will see that Calibri (Body) is the by default font face option, but later on you can change the font faces as per your choice or requirement. Whereas font size means increasing or decreasing the size of the selected characters or words in the document. In the font size list you may see that minimum size for the increasing or decreasing the text is 8 and maximum is upto 72. But you ned not worry for it, if incase you are in need of the size which is not mentioned in the font size list, then you have to make click in the currently font size number that you see in the font size box, backspace it and retype the size that you want to set for selected characters or words. Font face and Font size options you may find near to each other. When you click on the small arrow of the font face or font size (as per your need), the list of font faces appears in the font face box whereas the sizes list appear in the font size box separately. When you’ll slightly move your arrow pointer on the different types of font faces and font size without clicking them, you may see their effects appearing on the selected characters or words. Following are steps to change the font face or font size of characters or text :-
(a) First of all you need to select the text or characters whose font face or font size you need to change.
(b) In the Font option in the font group now click on the drop down arrow and then select the desired font face from the drop down menu. Perform the same step /process for font size too.
Note :- Besides Font size option, we can increase or decrease the size of the selected text or characters by making use of Glow font or Shrink Font option that is available in the Font group.

You can make a short cut key combination of Ctrl + [ (decrease size) and Ctrl + ] (increase size) respectively
(B) Font Style :- For changing the style of the selected text , we need to click on the Bold (B), Italic (I) and Underline (U) commands in the Home tab and under Font Group.
(a) Bold :- After clicking on this command, it helps to display the selected characters or text into the dark bold characters. This command is highlighted by dark bold alphabet B. You can also make a shortcut key combination of CTRL + B from the keyboard.
(b) Italic :- After clicking on this command, it will help to display the selected characters or text appear into the slanting way. This command is highlighted by dark bold and slanting alphabet I. You can also make a shortcut key combination of CTRL + I from the keyboard.
(c) Underline :- After clicking on this command, it will help to display the selected characters or text by giving a line under it. This command is highlighted by dark A A bold and underlined alphabet U. You can also make a shortcut key combination of CTRL + U from the keyboard.
(C) Font Color :- This option is used for changing the text color of the selected text or characters in the document. The Font Color option is made available under the Home Tab in Font Group. The steps for changing the font color of a selected text or character are as followed :-
(a) The text or character whose color we wants to change, needs to be selected first.
(b) Now on the Home tab under Font group you may find the option as Font color which is highlighted by alphabet A make a click on the small arrow which is in front of it. after which a drop down color box appears.
c) Now move the mouse pointer on the colors in the color box, and you will see the live preview of the colors in the document.
(d) Now select and click on the color of your choice.
(D) Text Highlight color :- This option is used for highlighting the selected text or characters in the document by changing its back ground color.. The Text Highlight Color option is made available under the Home Tab in Font Group. The steps for Text Highlight color of a selected text or character are as followed :-
(a) Select the text or character whose text you want to highlight by changing its background color.
(b) Click on the Home tab ——— click on the Text Highlight color option in the font group.
(c) Select and click on the color that we want to apply as a Text Highlight color to the selected text or characters.
(d) Text Effects :- This option is used for applying effects to the selected Text. This options is highlighted with A which is under the Font group of Home tab. This option includes the sub categories of Outline, Shadow, glow, reflection.
Steps for applying Text Effects to the selected Text or Characters are as followed :-
(a) Make a selection to the text whom we want to apply the effect.
(b) Go to the Home Tab and click on the Text effects on the Font group.
(c) Select and click on the effects as per our choice/need.
(d) If you’ll click on the Outline, Shadow, glow, reflection and then on the effects, you will get more effects.
Steps to remove the applied text effects
(a) Select the text whose effects we want to remove.
(b) On the Home tab, under Font group you may find the option as Clear Formatting. Click on it.
(F) Change Text Case :- If we had typed the text in the document into the uppercase, and later one we realise it that we need the text to be appearing in the lowercase, than we can convert the selected text into lower case automatically after click on Change case ribbon, without manually retyping it. The some types of text change cases which are Sentence case, lowercase, UPPERCASE, Capitalize Each Word, tOGGLE cASE. The case of the selected text in the document can be changed by making a single click on the Change Case ribbon. The steps for changing the case of the selected text are as followed :-
(a) The case of the text that you want to change, you need to select it first.
(b) In the Font group under the Home tab, you may see the Change Case ribbon, click on it.
(c) A drop down menu appears, now you may select any of the option as per your need i.e is Sentence Case , lowercase, UPPER CASE, Capitalize Each Word, tOGGLE cASE, and click on it.
Note:- By pressing Ctrl + F3 key we can change the case of the selected text.
(3) What is Word Art? How will you insert Word Art in a Word document.
Answer:- Word Art is a option in MS Word that is used to make the selected text in the document look very attractive and the style of the text can be changed. We can even add the shadow, different colors, sizes etc to the text or characters in the Word art. The steps to insert the Word Art into the document are :-
(i) Click on the Insert tab.
(ii) Under the Text group select an option as Word Art.
(iii) Word Art gallery box gets opened up, which allows you to select the text style/ Word Art option that you want to apply to the word in the document.
(iv) Edit Word Art dialog box gets opened up in which we can type the word or the selected word to whom we wants to apply the Word Art effect.
(v) After making changes in Editing Word Art box click on Ok button.
