Paragraph on Dussehra 150 Words

Dussehra is a famous festival in India which signifies the victory of good over evil. It makes the day on which Lord Rama defeated Ravana who had abducted Mata Sita. People often dress up as Rama and Ravana and portray the story. It is called as Ramleela. Huge structures of Ravana are made with lay and stick and are left to fire glorifying the end of Ravana.

The streets and decorated with lights and songs of Lord Rama are played. People light diyas to signify light after darkness. Dussehra is celebrated as the last day of Durga Puja on some parts of India where Goddess Durga returns to her husband’s place. Sweets are exchanged among family and friends on this sacred day. This celebration is held on the tenth day of ‘Shukla Pakha’ which marks the end of the long festivity of Navratri and Durga Puja.
