(1) (a) (i) Number of roses/Number of lilies

= 10/12

= 5/6

∴ The ratio of roses to lilies = 5:6

(ii) Number of daisies/Number of roses

= 8/10

= 4/5

∴ The ratio of daisies to roses = 4:5

(iii) Number of lilies/Number of daisies

= 12/8

= 3/2

∴ The ratio of lilies to daisies = 3:2

(iv) Number of roses/Number of all flowers

= 10/10+8+12

= 10/30

= 1/3

∴ Ratio of roses to all flowers = 1:3

(b) (i) Number of class 6 students/Number of class7 students

= 30/25

= 6/5

∴ Ratio of class 6 students to class 7 students = 6:5

(ii) Number of class 6 students/Number of total students

= 30/30+25+40

= 30/95

= 6/19

∴ Ratio of class 6 students to total no. of students = 6:19

(iii) Number of class 7 students/Number of class 8 students

= 25/40

= 5/8

∴ Ratio of class 7 students to class 8 students = 5:8

(iv) Number of class 7 and class 8 students/Number of class 6 students

= 25+40/30

= 65/30

= 13/6

∴ Ratio of class 7 and class 8 students to class 6 students = 13:6

(c) One part of oxygen/Two part of hydrogen

= 1/2

∴ Ratio of oxygen and hydrogen = 1:2

(d) No. of students passing in first division/Total no of students

= (2/3)/1

= 2/3

∴ Ratio of students passing in first division to total no. of student = 2:3
